Lantern Energy has been approved by United Illuminating (UI) and Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) to provide home energy assessments and the installation of energy efficient measures for homeowners through the Home Energy Solutions (HES) program, one of several innovative solutions offered by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund (CEEF).

Home Energy Services Offered:

Each individual home will be assessed to determine the appropriate energy saving measures

• A blower-door test which pinpoints critical drafts and air leaks in the building envelope.
• The technician will professionally seal identified air leaks during the visit.
• A duct test to assess air leaks within the ductwork system.
• The technician will seal significant leaks per duct test in the heating and cooling system.
• Hot water-saving measures including the installation of low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators and hot water pipe insulation.
• Rebates for qualifying central air conditioning and heat pump systems.
• Rebates for replacement of certain inefficient appliances with qualifying energy-efficient models.
• Installation of energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs.
• Incentives for insulation upgrades (gas and electric heated homes only)
• A "kitchen table wrap-up" where the technician will review the work that was done in your home and tell you about additional resources that can help you save energy and money.
