Lantern Energy is accredited through the Building Performance Institute. All of our crew leaders come to us with a fundamental understanding of building science, whether as carpenters, plumbers, HVAC technicians or home improvement contractors. We build upon that foundation of knowledge by requiring all crew leaders to have, at minimum, a BPI Analyst and BPI Envelope certification.

Building Performance Institute (BPI)

The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) is a national standards development and credentialing organization for energy efficiency retrofit work. Quickly becoming the national standard for home energy assessment specialists, BPI is the highest level of certification achievable. Lantern Energy is a BPI GoldStar company, and we employ professionals certified by the BPI.

Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET)

The Residential Energy Services Network was founded to develop a national market for home energy rating systems and energy efficient mortgages. RESNET member auditors and raters are committed to the highest level of quality and ethics.

Better Business Bureau

Lantern Energy is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. The BBB evaluates businesses against high standards of marketplace trust, and provides objective, unbiased information on the character and competence of organizations to consumers.

Insulation Contractors Association of America (ICAA)

Lantern Energy is a member of the Insulation Contractors Association of America (ICAA) is the trade association for residential and commercial thermal insulation contractors. The ICAA develops and executes programs which keep its members on the leading edge of valuable information and knowledge in the rapidly changing world of insulation.

Energize Connecticut

Energize Connecticut helps you save money and use clean energy. It is an initiative of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, the State and your local electric and gas utilities with funding from a charge on customer energy bills.

Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program (NYSERDA)

Lantern Energy is a contractor in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program designed by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to help homeowners and renters reduce energy costs and to provide energy efficiency training to contractors.

Lantern Energy has been a recipient of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Century Club Award each year from 2012–2019. This award recognizes contractors who have improved the energy efficiency of more than 100 homes during the year.

Mass Save®

Lantern Energy is a Participating Insulation Contractor to the Mass Save® Program. Mass Save® works with certified Energy Specialists, Home Performance Contractors (HPCs) and Independent Installation Contractors (IICs) to provide your high-quality Home Energy Assessments and weatherization installations.

CT Apartment Association

Lantern Energy is a member of the Connecticut Apartment Association. The Connecticut Apartment Association (CTAA) is a state chapter of the National Apartment Association dedicated to serving the interests of Connecticut apartment owners and managers.
